About the Teacher:
Mrs. Gurley is a 2002 graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art with an emphasis in Advertising & Graphic Design. In 2008, she completed the Post-Bach Teacher Certification Program at SHSU, in which she studied Curriculum & Instruction and Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Gurley will be starting her 9th year of teaching this year. This will be her 5th year here at Willow Wood Junior High.
All students in Mrs. Gurley's Crafts, Art I, and Art II classes are required to have the following supplies for class.
  • spiral or composition notebook
  • pencil
  • $15 class fee
Class Wish List:
Any student that brings any of the listed items in, will receive extra credit points added to their overall MAJOR points.
  • Kleenex or similar tissues
  • Sharpies (any size and color)
  • Ziploc bags or similar (any size)
  • Clorox/Lysol wipes
  • glue sticks
  • Legos
  • paint brushes
  • playing cards
  • coloring books
  • Box Tops for Education

Come Join Student Council!

Student Council will be meeting after school in the library on Thursday, September 29th.  We will be electing officers and getting updates on upcoming events.  If you would like to help plan the WWJH Halloween Dance and many other events, come join us!  We will be ordering t-shirts this year for members to wear.

Come Join WWJH Student Council!

Come one, come all!  Student Council will be having their first meeting of the 2016-2017 school year after school on Thursday, September 8th.  For those that are attending, please plan to make arrangements to be picked up at 4:00 pm.  You may also choose to walk or ride the late bus home.  If you are unable to attend due to other extracurricular activities, please stop by to speak with Mrs. Gurley before our first meeting.  We will be electing officers and discussing upcoming events and meetings.
