  1. If for some reason you did not publish and turn in the link to your website on Google Classroom yesterday, YOU MUST DO THAT TODAY.  
  2. If you need help adding the link to the Google classroom assignment, the directions on how to turn your website address (URL) in to Google classroom are listed below:
    • Open your website in Google Sites
    • Click the "Publish" button > In the Web address box > type Your FirstNameLastName
    • Who can view my site – Anyone at Tomball ISD
    • Click “Publish”
    • At the bottom of screen a black box will pop up "Your website has been successfully published." 
    • Now the blue "Publish" button, in the top right hand corner, has a drop-down arrow next to it
    • Click the drop-down arrow next to the Publish button and select "View Published Site"
    • Copy the entire URL of your site (from the address bar) and go to Google Classroom to turn-in.
    • Locate the "Website Final Exam, Turn-in Assignment" in Google Classroom > click "Add” > click "Link" > click “Paste” (your website URL will be pasted to this

    • Select your Goals Page from your menu at the top of your webpage.
      Education – Write a goal regarding where/what you see yourself doing after high school.
      Personal - Write a goal for yourself that you would like to achieve on a personal level.
    • Include appropriate pictures to represent your goals. 
    Your goals MUST be written in complete sentences and should be 2-3 sentences long. (You can add information about how you plan on reaching those goals.)
  2. REMEMBER: You can get ideas from the many projects that you have completed in PIT. They can be found on your H drive, Google drive and Google Classroom. You can use the Google Drive App on your phone to upload additional pictures may want to use.

  • Make sure you have completed your Hoax Picture assignment and turned it into the Google Classroom Assignment. If you created a bonus picture be sure to upload it to the same Google Classroom Assignment (Final Hoax Picture - .JPEG document).
  • Make sure you list your props in the Private Comments section of the Google Classroom assignment for grading.
  • Make sure you:
    • Perform Google image search "floor plans"
    • Snip and copy your favorite floor plan
    • Paste your favorite floor plan in a Google Doc and Upload it to the Google Classroom assignment  
  • Watch the videos below, on your own to learn more about Floor Planner (see links listed below)  - Make sure you have headphones to watch the videos.  If you didn't bring headphones today, please watch the videos this weekend!  Be ready to begin creating a Floor Plan of your Dream House on Monday.

  • If you haven't finished the Hoax Picture assignment, you need to get it turned in to the Google Classroom assignment ASAP. 
  • They absolutely have to be turned in tomorrow by the end of the class period.  Make sure you have listed your props in the Private Comments section of the Google Classroom assignment for grading.

Today is the last full day to work on your Hoax Picture project.  If you were out a lot the last 2 weeks, please just put your background and props together quickly, save it as a .JPEG and turn it into Google Classroom.

Tomorrow we will begin working on a couple of other things.  New project is coming.

  1. Combine background and props into one picture (See file below:  Steps to Combine Your Background and Props)  
  2. Save your combined background & props as a .PXD and a .JPEG (.JPEG filename is:   Final Hoax Picture)
  3. Upload Final Hoax Picture to Google Classroom for grading
  4. EVERYONE PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING (whether you have already turned in your Final Hoax Picture or you turn it in today) You do not need to do this for the bonus pictures.
    • When uploading your Final Hoax Picture to Google Classroom, LIST the props you put in your picture,  in the Private Comments section
    • Should be something like this:  (see picture for a better example)

Today is going to be a LET'S FIGURE OUT WHERE EVERYONE IS DAY!  With all the absences last week everyone is in a different part of the project.  

Below is everything that needs to be completed by the end of the period on Wednesday, February 20th:

  1. Combining your background and props into one picture (See file below:  Steps to Combine Your Background and Props)  
  2. Saving your combined background & props as a .JPEG file naming it Final Hoax Picture (specific directions for saving are listed below) 
  3. Upload your Final Hoax Picture to the Google Classroom assignment (Final Hoax Picture (.JPEG document) for grading
  4. If you have completed 1, 2, & 3 above,  I want you to create another Background that must have 3 total props.  You can choose transparent background pictures for the 3 props in this picture. This "required" BONUS assignment is for an extra grade or will drop your lowest grade (whichever works in your grade's favor the most).   
You may not sit here and play games for 2 days if you are completely done with everything.  You must complete the bonus assignment and then we can talk games!  ;)
 
STEPS FOR TURNING YOUR HOAX PICTURE IN FOR GRADING:
If you have completely combined your Background and Props and your picture is all  assembled, please complete the following steps:
  1. Go to File
  2. click Save As > type in the Filename is:  Final Hoax Picture >
  3. select your 4_Final Parts of Pic folder >
  4. change File type to a  .JPEG >
  5. click Save button
  6. Once your Hoax picture is finished and you are satisfied with your product and you have saved it correctly, turn it into the Goolge Classroom assignment for grading.

    4. change File type to a  .JPEG >
    5. click Save button
  4. Once your Hoax picture is finished and you are satisfied with your product, turned it into the Goolge Classroom assignment for grading.  (Yes it is there today, I forgot to set it up Tuesday night)
If you have complete the Hoax picture and have done everything listed above, I want you to create another Background that must have 3 total props.  These props do not have to be cut out.  You can choose pictures for props that already have a transparent background.  By selecting pictures for props that already have a transparent backgrounds, will make the 2nd picture for Bonus go much quicker.  This BONUS assignment is for an extra grade or will drop your lowest grade (whichever works in your favor grade wise). 
 
I didn't get the Critical Writing assignment done for yall yet.  We will do that next week.  Don't worry about it today.

  3. Once you have assembled your picture, Go to File >  click Save As > type in the Filename is:  Final Hoax Picture > select your 4_Final Parts of Pic folder > File type:  .JPEG > click Save button
  4. If you haven't finished removing the background on all of your props and your picture, PLEASE FINISH THAT TODAY!  
  5. Once your Hoax picture and have turned it into the Goolge Classroom assignment for grading

  2. Everything should be cut out by now.  You should have at least 5 props not including you.  You should resized (made smaller) those props that need to be smaller in the picture. All props and you should now be saved as "Final whatever", in the 4_Final Parts of Pic folder, as a .PNG file.  
  3. EVERY PROP & THE PICTURE OF YOU, should be sized appropriately and saved as a .PNG file in the 4_Final Parts of Pic folder in your H://drive.
  4. If you have everything done in number 1 & 2 above, then I want you to prep for a second picture, find a background and some props.  There is no minimum number of props and you can look for items with an already transparent background.  In other words - NO PLAYING GAMES; I want you begin creating a 2nd Hoax picture.
  5. I will review what I went over yesterday for those who were out.  Today we will discuss prop proportions and resizing and preparing our pictures and props to be combined.  (directions are attached for your review)
  6. Tomorrow we will talk about assembling all the parts together.

  5. If you work fast or have picked props that are easy to cut out, you might want to consider creating 2 complete photos.  
  • Remember:  2 props is the minimum which is a minimum passing grade 70-75.  If you an "A", you must increase the number of props you add to the photo and focus on the quality of your removing the background.  Good quality of work would be NO WHITE - NO BACKGROUND left around your props or around your picture.

  • Copy and paste it in today's square of this week's Warm-up file.

    4. Begin searching for props to be added/used in your new picture creation.  (Remember, NO copyrighted pictures or pictures with watermarks.)   
    5. I will begin taking photos of students today/tomorrow.  If you need me to take a picture of you, then you need to figure out what your pose is going to be, before I call you up to take your picture.

      1. open your yellow File Finder folder (from the taskbar) (this info is somewhat on the board as well)
      2. open your H://drive
      3. open your PIT folder
      4. open your Photo Editing Folder
      5. right click in the middle of the window and choose New > Folder
      6. type in 1_Backgrounds 
      7. create another new folder
      8. type in 2_Parts of Pic
      9. create another new folder
      10. type in 3_Working Parts of Pic
      11. create another new folder
      12. type in 4_Final Parts of Pic
    2. You should now have 4 new folders in your Photo Editing Folder (I will discuss each one as we go and will summarize this all when I get back.)
    3. Review details regarding Photo Editing Project Requirements (please read over the attachment at the bottom of the post (Filename: Assignment Sheet - Photo Editing)

      • Right Click on the picture and choose Save Image As
      • Make sure the FILE TYPE IS:  JPEG, PNG OR GIF (html or webpage WILL NOT WORK)
      • open up your H://drive > PIT > Photo Editing > Backgrounds folder
      • name the file something you will recognize and click SAVE

  • Removing the background (must have 2 layers, to create a transparent background)

  • You will want to pay close attention to the details when removing the background to create smooth edges.
  • You must save your picture in Pixlr as a .PXD file until the background is completely removed.
  • You will want to save frequently so you don't lose your work.
  • Spend the rest of the class period, removing the background and cutting yourself out of the picture.
  • Tomorrow your body must be cut out by the end of class.
