Michelle Hank is delighted to join Willow Wood Junior High School as the director of choirs this year. Mrs. Hank holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Baylor University and a Masters Degree in Choral Music Education from Michigan State University. Prior to joining Tomball ISD, she taught in Leander ISD outside of Austin and then stayed home for several years dedicating time to her children.
Choirs under Mrs. Hank’s direction have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading as well as Best in Class and Overall Outstanding Choir awards at area Festivals. She has also conducted as the director of an Invited Choir at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in 2012.
Mrs. Hank is an active clinician and adjudicator throughout Texas and has presented multiple sessions at both the Texas Choral Directors Association and Texas Music Educators Association conventions. She has also contributed to SmartMusic’s Music Educator Blog (see post here) and Beyond the Clef podcast.
Mrs. Hank enjoys being active, reading, and spending time with her husband, Nicholas, their three children, and their dog, Daisy.
