My name is Andrew Brown. I got started on the path to being an educator in high school in Iowa. After high school I continued my education at Upper Iowa University with a degree in Elementary Education and Music Education. I spent one year substitute teaching in Iowa before moving to the Houston area in the summer of 2004. I taught for 9 years at the same school in Aldine ISD. During my time in Aldine I was a classroom teacher and Dyslexia Specialist. It was my work with the Dyslexia kids that really ignited my passion for helping kids learn to read better. I went through all of the course work with Neuhaus Education Center to become a Dyslexia teacher. It was during this coursework that I also enrolled at Southern Methodist University. I earned my Master's degree from SMU in 2011 in Reading and Writing.
I moved to the Tomball area with my family 7 years ago and absolutely love the area. This year will mark the start of my 6th year teaching in Tomball ISD. I love the family atmosphere that the district provides and strive to have that same mentality in my classroom. I look forward to the things that this school year will bring for myself and the stude
