I am a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 1998, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications. After graduation, I spent 7 years in the corporate world as an Event Marketing Planner. However, I realized that my heart wasn't where it belonged...I was doing a job, not loving a career. In 2004, I went back to school and received my teaching certification.
I started my teaching career in Cy-Fair ISD where I taught Speech and Theatre for 7 years. In 2011, I left the classroom as my family relocated to Australia for an amazing 2 year adventure! When we returned, I went back into the classroom in Tomball ISD as a 2nd grade teacher. I loved being at Canyon Pointe for 3 years, but missed the older kids. So this year, I am back in Junior High and energized to work with your students!
As an educator, I believe in connecting with my students and instilling a love for learning. Building relationships and teaching the whole student is important to me. Every student has the capacity to learn...it is my job to make them successful in their learning. I also believe that we will have a partnership when it comes to the best interest of your student, so please contact me at anytime with questions or concerns. Working together, I know this will be an OUTSTANDING year!!!
My family and I enjoy spending time together outdoors. Our oldest daughter is going to be a sophomore at TMHS and is a competitive swimmer, while our youngest daughter is going into 8th grade here at WWJH and is a competitive dancer. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, reading, and spending time with my family and adorable puppies =)
