All students in Mrs. Gurley's Crafts, Art I, and Art II classes are required to have the following supplies for class.

  • $16 class fee

Thursday, May 24th will be the last opportunity to come in before school for Major Grade Recovery.

Grade Recovery

Grade Recovery for my class will be held BEFORE school on Tuesday, May 22nd and Thursday, May 24th.  This is opportunity to make up ONE major grade.

Supplies Needed

As the year is coming to an end, we are still in need of a few items to get us through.  We really appreciate your donations.  Thank you in advance!
 
  • Ziploc bags (sandwich and gallon size)
  • Kleenex
  • Clorox/Lysol wipes
  • wire coat hangers

I wanted to personally thank all of those who came out to the Tomball ISD Fine Arts Festival this past Saturday.  It was a hit!!  There was a lot of art work on display, as well as performances and activities to take part in.  All artwork that was on display for my classes will be going home today and tomorrow, with exception to the Pop Art Papier Mache pieces.  

Supplies Needed

We currently in need of plastic water bottles, aluminum soda cans, wire hangers, nylon hose, electronic circuits, keys, gears, metal trinkets, newspapers, etc. for upcoming projects.

3rd 9-Weeks Report Cards

Report cards will be going home this Friday, March 23rd.  If your student has a grade that is less than a B (79 or below), he/she will be bringing home a detailed grade report on Tuesday, March 20th This report will need to be signed by a parent or guardian and returned.  If your student has less than a B and does not provide you with a grade report, please ask them about it.

Class Fees

Class Fees for students NEW to my class will be due soon!  Please pay $16 fee via the WWJH home page.  Checks and cash will also be accepted in person.

Major Grade Recovery

For those students who may need to make up a MAJOR grade, please plan to meet in Mrs. Gurley's classroom before school (7:15 am - 7:30 am) on Thursday, December 14th or Friday, December 15th.  

Class Wish List

In order for Mrs. Gurley's classes to complete a few projects, we are in need of the following items...
  • old keys
  • electronic circuits
  • small metal trinkets
  • small gears
  • pantyhose (new, please)
  • newspapers
  • wire hangers
  • aluminum foil
  • old CDs or DVDs
  • scrapbook paper
  • Ziploc bags (any size)
  • shaving cream
  • Sharpies
  • glue sticks
We are also in need of the following items for our classroom...
  • Kleenex
  • reams of printer paper
  • Clorox/Lysol wipes
  • coloring books

Grade Recovery

Students will be given the opportunity to master the curriculum and to improve one major grade per grading period according to the following guidelines:  Offered to all students who have failed a major grade assessment.  The content will be determined by the teacher.  The maximum score will be a 70.  No test will be given to students who previously earned a 0.  The test will be offered at the end of the nine week grading period

Need Extra Time on Projects?

Mrs. Gurley's class will be open every Thursday and Friday morning for students that need extra time on projects.  This time is also open to those who may need to make up any missed work.

Class Fees are DUE!

Class fees for Art I, Art II, and Crafts are due ASAP.  The fee is currently $16 and can be paid online through today.
